Walpole panel reviews Main Street Live operations plan
Other Committee 2026-09-15 Part 2 · Meeting of September 15, 2026
Walpole's Economic Development Commission previewed Friday's Main Street Live festival and heard a quick-moving Toll Brothers update. Bellforge Arts Center representative Paul Armstrong walked the board through a packed schedule: stage setup starting 10 a.m. Friday, music from 4:30 to roughly 9:30 p.m. across five acts including Dominic Lavoie and closing cover band The One Night Stands, and 15 vendors including three food trucks and a last-minute replacement ice cream truck from Grandy's.
"There is always the risk of somebody buying a bulk of tickets and handing them out to people," Armstrong said, explaining why the event skips advance tickets for 21-plus wristbands instead. The commission approved its August 18 minutes 4-0 with one abstention, then heard from staff liaison Patrick that Toll Brothers has a groundbreaking ceremony set for Wednesday and that a commercial redevelopment is now moving through the Zoning Board of Appeals and Planning Board at the former Country Kitchen site on Main Street.
