EDC approves minutes, previews Friday festival
Other Committee · Meeting of September 15, 2026
Walpole's Economic Development Commission got a full operations briefing on Friday's Main Street Live festival and heard updates on several Main Street corridor projects. Bellforge Arts Center's Paul Armstrong told the commission setup begins at 10 a.m. Friday, with music running 4:30 p.m. to about 9:30 p.m. across five acts, including Dominic LaVoie and Nate Perry and Ragged Company, before a closing set from cover band The One Night Stands.
Organizers said 15 vendors, including food trucks El Jefe Tacos and More, Royal Indian Kitchen and Republic Barbecue, will set up along Elm Street, with alcohol sales run on a wristband system: "You'll be wristbanded, 21-plus obviously gets a wristband." The commission approved its August 18 minutes 4-0 with one abstention, and staff liaison Patrick reported the Toll Brothers project is pulling building permits for foundations and that a possible yearlong closure of the Walpole Country Club clubhouse could force the commission to relocate its annual Business Forum.
