Planning Board · Meeting of July 16, 2026

Walpole's Planning Board declined to recommend a bond reduction or street acceptance for two finished Roscommon roads, continuing the matter to August 20. The board voted 4-0-0 on six other items, including setting a $680,000 bond for the Quail Run subdivision and allowing withdrawal of an ANR application for 655 Elm Street over a frontage problem. Attorney Christopher Timpson, for developer Whitman Homes, sought to treat completed roads Emerald Way and Kilronan Park separately from unfinished Gigi's Way; Vice Chair John O'Leary said he was "totally against any reduction in the bond." Member Catherine Turco said Gigi's Way residents have waited nine years and would be left "in continued limbo." Chair John Conroy ordered the developer to bring Lot 30's owner to the next meeting.

Separately, abutter Steve Lynch disputed tree species and spacing on a Marion Street Extension landscaping buffer.
