Walpole School Panel OKs $86,799 in Change Orders
Other Committee · Meeting of March 10, 2026
Walpole school building panel approves $86,799 in change orders and shifts budget to cover furniture overage. The Walpole High School Building Committee approved Change Order 26 ($70,361.52), covering sprinkler pipe upsizing, added safety glazing at gym windows and fire panel repairs, plus a separate $16,437.74 order for door hardware upgrades. The panel also voted to move $31,461 from owner's contingency into the furniture, fixtures and equipment line after a $142,229 furniture package for the music department and student services suite came in over budget, and approved $9,427 for digital music lab computers against the security line instead.
TAPE furniture consultant Danielle said the team "always knew" it would run a little short on furniture spending. The panel also cleared a $685,639.56 February invoice package, with contractor Agostini 86.6 percent complete, and officials confirmed phase four should wrap by Aug. 15 with no fifth phase planned.
